I’ve seen the first movie, with Michael Keaton, Kim Basinger and Jack
Nicholson and it was much the same unbearable hype all over, only to
result in a half-decent movie. Actually, I wasn’t even so impressed by
Nicholson, cos he can pull these wacko roles off like it ain’t nuthin.
As for the marketing-to-movie ratio: mountain : molehill.

The one I liked best so far was the one with Clooney in it. It had some
pretty funny dialogue to smother over the pathetic story line.

I had my buddy over last night and was gonna force him into watching
Milk or possibly a Kazakhan story of two deaf-mutes in a remote coalmine
in black and white, but he felt more like some really dumb Hollywood
action movie where you don’t have to do shit with your brain. And this
was about as close as we got in my collection. – Now he still can’t
believe how rubbish the movie was. ;) That’ll teach him for next time. ;)

To be honest, I even thought Eckhart did a pretty half-assed job. He
couldn’t play a villain to save his life. He was downright perfectly
cast for the [Thank you for] Smoking movie, but he can’t even frown at someone who’s about to kick away at his balls. Even with half his face missing he looked too cute.
Thank God Maggie was there to save some of the scenes visually. ;)
And I don’t blame all the fine actors who took the job. That money was
probably really good.

claiming there’d never been any better rappers. Honky please!
Most of them couldn’t name 5 other rappers to compare them to in the
first place. They’re dead. Tough luck. Let’s not waste our time over it.

No need to exclude Four Feathers. His acting was fine, but the story as
such raises some troubling questions. Oh, the colourful natives, oh, the
noble savage, oh, all this wonderful pride and honour and we only want
the best for you little heathen bastards (Heath? coincidence??). God
save the Queen. And it’s got Kate Hudson in it. No thank you mam. ;)

As a last thing, TDK is still a long way from the Shitbrick Royale of
movies: the remake of King Kong. Gawd-dayum that was horrible. But
